Missing woman’s family seeks answers after her body is found

The family of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found over 100 miles from her home is looking for answers.

The family members of a 22-calendar year-previous female whose human body was discovered in excess of 100 miles from her residence is on the lookout for solutions.

The physique of a lacking 22-12 months-old Utah girl was discovered over 100 miles away from her hometown, leaving her family members with lingering issues about the situation of her dying, neighborhood media experiences.

Sophia Lower’s body was uncovered on April 8 by 4 teenage boys who have been riding dirt bikes in Wealthy County, in close proximity to the town of Randolph. An April 11 autopsy verified that it was the entire body of the woman who vanished from Layton earlier in the calendar year, KSL documented.

Randolph is about 108 miles northeast of Layton.

Right before she disappeared, Decrease had invited persons around to her family’s home in Layton and discussed her options to stop by Randolph before long, Fox 13 described. She remaining with her friends but continued to keep in touch with her spouse and children right up until someday in March, the outlet described.

She was formally documented missing on March 29, just 10 days just before her human body was located, McClatchy News documented.

“We want to know how she ended up exactly where she finished up,” Veronica Bair, Lower’s more mature sister, explained to Fox 13. “Why she ended up in which she was.”

Reduced graduated from substantial college in 2018, according to her obituary. Her family members named her a “bold ray of sunshine” who was “curious and open-minded.”

“She generally talked about opening a roadside fruit stand and traveling the world, under no circumstances seeking to be tied down,” the obituary mentioned. “Being all-around her was often enjoyable as she laughed simply and had a way of finding the joy in the regular.”

She’s survived by her mom, sister, two nephews, grandmother, and “many uncles, aunts, and cousins,” the obituary stated.

Authorities in Abundant County and Weber County are nonetheless investigating her demise, KSL claimed.

“We want the mystery solved,” Bair told Fox 13.

Layton is 24 miles north of Salt Lake Town.

The Layton Metropolis Police Office, Loaded County Sheriff’s Office and Weber County Sheriff’s Workplace did not right away respond to requests for remark from McClatchy News.
